What can be recycled?

PLASTICS Plastics #1 (soda/water bottles) and #2 (milk/juice/shampoo/detergent containers) only

CARDBOARD/ BOXBOARD · Corrugated and paperboard boxes · 6, 12, and 24-pack drink cartons (flattened)· Paper egg cartons · Shoe boxes · Soft drink boxes (rinse) · Cereal and cracker boxes (remove liners) Flatten corrugated boxes and place in bin or on ground next to bin.

PAPER · Junk mail · Coupons · White or colored paper · Gift Wrap · Envelopes · Paper Grocery Bags · Paper Shopping Bags · Catalogs · Magazines · Newspapers and inserts (remove rubber bands and plastic bags, and do not tie up newspapers) · Paperback books · Telephone books

METAL · Small aluminum and steel cans Empty and rinse all metal containers before recycling.

Dear Kenner Residents & Business Owners:

 

Beginning March 1, Ramelli Janitorial will begin providing recycling and drop site services for the city of Kenner. Here’s what to expect: 

 ♻️Recycling pick-up days will remain the same

 ♻️Garbage pick-up days will remain the same 

 ♻️Drop site hours of operation will remain the same 

 ♻️IV Waste will continue to provide garbage collection services

On March 20, the city expects delivery of all new, city owned recycling bins (with wheels and lids). Distribution is expected shortly thereafter to Kenner residents and businesses who have requested recycling containers.
