Cannes Brulees - Tana S. Barth

Barth is a local artist best known for her work with Barth Bros Inc., the family business of renowned float builders.  Her work includes designing the 1984 World’s Fair and Exposition entrance gate, and her sculptures appear in Harrah’s casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, the Riverwalk, and even the Smithsonian Institute. Cannes Brulees (the name given to the land now known as the city of Kenner) depicts burnt cane and is constructed of aluminum standing 16 feet tall and 4 feet wide and hand painted in bright Barth Mardi Gras style paints with an epoxy coating.
