Garbage Details
Garbage Collection services are provided to Kenner residents and business owners by IV Waste.
Garbage Collection Schedule:
- Blue: Monday and Thursday Route
- Orange: Tuesday and Friday Route
- Purple: Wednesday and Saturday Route
Curbside Trash Collection Guidelines:
Bulk Waste:
Bulky waste not containerized (including yard waste), construction debris and tree limbs must be neatly or securely tied in bundles and shall not exceed four (4) feet in length, two (2) feet in diameter and 75 lbs. in weight per item in order to ensure proper disposal. Do not place bulky waste under trees or power lines. ANY yard service or tree removal performed by a contractor shall be removed by the contractor
Large Items/Construction Debris:
Items such as furniture, remodeling debris, white goods (with fluids extracted), large toys and other waste that does not fit into the IV Waste container shall be placed next to the container and should weigh no more than 75 pounds. Please don’t place objects up against mailboxes, light poles, etc.
Residents who are performing light construction work that does not require a permit (i.e. sawdust & carpet removal) may place it curbside, but it must be containerized. However, carpet and padding may be left on side of the container but shall not exceed 6 feet in length.
All waste concrete 6 inches by 6 inches and smaller must be containerized. Waste concrete larger than 6 inches by 6 inches shall not weigh more than 75 lbs.
IV Waste is not required to remove any construction debris material that is placed curbside by a general contractor or generated from new construction or demolition where such work required a permit or ANY work done to a commercial establishment. Such debris materials placed out for curbside pickup can result in a violation being issued by the city.
