Eligible families are provided 1 to 3 boxes of food weighing 30 to 40 pounds according to family size. Our food bank is a member agency of Second Harvest Food Bank Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. Weekly, food is delivered to our pantry. Other community partners help to keep the food bank stocked such as local churches, businesses, schools, civic groups, and caring families and individuals.
The food bank is a much-needed program for our community and prevents many children from going to bed hungry. Without the help of Second Harvest and our caring Kenner community, many families would face hunger daily.
To receive assistance from the food bank, a family’s income must meet the income guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the respective family size. Details of how to apply and an application can be picked up from the food bank or download the Application and Instruction Form (PDF).
