Welcome to the City of Kenner’s Career Site for Classified Service
Civil Service classified positions are governed by the Civil Service Board and the Civil Service Rules. These rules include guidelines relating to hiring, promotions/demotions, grievances, terminations, and other personnel actions.
Here at the City of Kenner we are always on the lookout for talented, passionate people to join us. Employment with City of Kenner represents more than just a job — it is an opportunity to make a difference and improve your community.
Discover classified job opportunities through our online application system, which is user- and mobile-friendly. You must complete an online application to be considered for any position. Paper applications are not accepted. Resumes will NOT be accepted in lieu of completing all relevant sections of the application.
How to Apply
Create an account to apply online. Each applicant must have his or her own individual email address when setting up an account. Do not share your account with anyone. You must enter your User Name and Password each time exactly as they were entered when you set up your account; therefore, pay close attention to uppercase/lowercase letters, spaces, and special characters.
You can only apply for currently posted job listings; however, you are encouraged to fill out an online job interest card with Kenner. This feature provides you with the opportunity to select Kenner job categories that interest you, which will generate automatic emails when a new position opens up.
Applicants can update their applicant information (work experience, education, etc.) by editing their Applicant Profile via the Applicant Portal. The changes made will not be reflected on applications submitted in the past.
- Applicants that do not have online access at home can access our online application system at local Libraries.
